Hold down the power button for at least 3 seconds. This will force it to turn off. Make sure you have correctly entered all upper and lower case letters. The password field differentiates between upper and lower case. The battery may be damaged or in need of replacement. Battery capacity gradually decreases with each recharging. Battery life is also shortened when the battery is used at extremely high temperatures (1 page 27). • Check that the battery is inserted. (When the AC adapter is connected, the AC adapter indicator appears instead of the battery indicator.) • The battery may need replacement. • The indicator does not turn on when the battery is fully charged. • For the LF-X5, the battery cannot be charged when the monitor power is on. Turn the monitor off to charge the battery. • There may be a problem with the battery. Disconnect the AC power adapter. Remove the battery and reinstall it. If the problem persists, contact your Sony dealer. • The battery will not charge if the temperature is not between 32°F to 95°F (0°C to 35°C). The built-in battery used to keep the clock accurate may be dead. When this happens, the clock will stop once the monitor's rechargeable battery depletes. Contact your Sony dealer for more information on replacing the built-in clock battery. External Keyboard (LF-X1 only) Problem Keys on an external keyboard do not respond. Cannot use some keys on an external keyboard. Causes and remedies • Make sure the text entry field is selected. • Make sure the connector from the keyboard is securely connected. • You may not be able to use some keys with the LF-X1. • A USB type keyboard with a hub may not operate correctly. TV and video Problem No color or incorrect color Picture appears, but no sound. Causes and remedies • Adjust the picture quality (1 page 68). • Verify whether the AV cable is correctly connected. • Make sure the volume is not turned down all the way. • If is displayed on the screen, press VOLUME + on the monitor to make it disappear.
