The following entries are displayed on this screen: Cable Test Port: Select the port for cable testing. UNIT: Select the unit ID of the desired member in the stack. Pair: Displays the Pair number. Status: Test the connection status of the cable connected to the port. Length: If the connection status is normal, here displays the length range of the cable. Error: If the connection status is close, open or crosstalk, here displays The error length of the cable. Note: 1. The interval between two cable tests for one port must be more than 3 seconds. 2. The result is more reasonable when the cable pair is in the open status. 3. The test result is just for your reference. 4. If the port is 100Mbps and its connection status is normal, cable test can't get the length of the cable. 18.3.2 Loopback Loopback test function, looping the sender and the receiver of the signal, is used to test whether the port of the switch is available as well as to check and analyze the physical connection status of the port to help you locate and solve network malfunctions.
