CHAPTER 22 Static Route 22.1 Overview This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your NBG4615. Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and the NBG4615 has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the NBG4615 knows about network N2 in the following figure through remote node Router 1. However, the NBG4615 is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a route through the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway Router 2). The static routes are for you to tell the NBG4615 about the networks beyond the remote nodes.
