CHAPTER 23 RIP 23.1 Overview Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is an interior or intra-domain routing protocol that uses distance-vector routing algorithms. RIP is used on the Internet and is common in the NetWare environment as a method for exchanging routing information between routers. 23.2 RIP Screen Use this screen to enable RIPv1 or RIPv2, which are LAN broadcast protocols. Click Network > RIP. The screen appears as shown. Figure 119 Network > RIP The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 75 Network > RIP LABEL RIP DESCRIPTION Select the RIPv1 or RIPv2 you want the NBG4615 to use. Otherwise select None. Apply Click Apply to save your changes back to the NBG4615.
