2-14 Compaq ProLiant DL580 Server Maintenance and Service Guide Removable Media and Related Components Removable media drives and hard drives are removed for replacement, upgrades, or when removing the SCSI hard drive backplane board. Media Storage The ProLiant DL580 server can utilize both Wide Ultra 2 and Wide Ultra 3 technology. The drive cage area can house up to four 1-inch, hot-plug hard drives. IMPORTANT: Wide Ultra 2 or Wide Ultra 3 hard drives must use matching Wide Ultra 2 or Wide Ultra 3 array controllers. Drives can be of any storage capacity, but must be mounted on Compaq hot-plug drive trays. Removable Media and Related Components
Removable media drives and hard drives are removed for replacement, upgrades, or when
removing the SCSI hard drive backplane board.
Media Storage
The ProLiant DL580 server can utilize both Wide Ultra 2 and Wide Ultra 3 technology. The
drive cage area can house up to four 1-inch, hot-plug hard drives.
