2-18 Compaq ProLiant DL580 Server Maintenance and Service Guide 1.44-MB Diskette Drive The ProLiant DL580 server ships with a standard 1.44-MB diskette drive secured to the removable media assembly. To remove the 1.44-MB diskette drive: 1. Perform the preparation procedures. See "Preparation Procedures" earlier in this chapter. 2. Disconnect all cables from the diskette drive. See "Diskette Drive Signal and Power Cables" later in this chapter. 3. Lift out the removable media assembly. See "CD-ROM and Diskette Drive Removable Media Assembly" earlier in this chapter. 4. Loosen the captive T-15 screw that secures the drive to the removable media assembly. 5. Move the diskette drive back, then up from the removable media assembly. 2 1 Figure 2-10. 1.44-MB Diskette Drive
The ProLiant DL580 server ships with a standard 1.44-MB diskette drive secured to the
removable media assembly.
To remove the 1.44-MB diskette drive:
1. Perform the preparation procedures. See

2. Disconnect all cables from the diskette drive. See
