Loading trays Use special print media, such as envelopes, labels, HP LaserJet glossy paper, HP LaserJet Photo paper, and transparencies in Tray 1 and Tray 2. NOTE Because Tray 3 is not included for all models, it is referred to as optional Tray 3 in this guide. CAUTION Do not fan paper before loading it into trays. Avoid overloading trays. CAUTION Avoid reusing paper that has been stapled. Staples left in reused paper will cause printer damage that will require repairs that may not be covered under the warranty. Loading Tray 1 Tray 1 (the single sheet priority feed slot) prints single sheets of print media or a single envelope. Use Tray 1 when feeding one sheet of paper, envelope, postcard, label, HP LaserJet glossy paper, HP LaserJet Photo paper, or transparency. You can also use Tray 1 to print the first page on different media than the rest of the document. 1.
