Installing memory and fonts CAUTION You can install more memory for the printer, and you can also install a font card to allow the printer to print characters for languages such as Chinese or the Cyrillic alphabet. Static electricity can damage DIMMs. When handling DIMMs, either wear an antistatic wrist strap, or frequently touch the surface of the DIMM antistatic package and then touch bare metal on the printer. To install DDR memory DIMMs 1. Turn the printer off. 2. Disconnect all power and interface cables. 3. Locate the formatter board in the rear of the printer. ENWW Installing memory and fonts 241
