To execute this command, you must have chassis-level permission in a virtual fabric (VF) environment. System monitoring is disabled by default. You must run both the --config -mem and the --config -cpu commands to enable both memory and CPU system monitoring. Configuring system monitoring 1. Connect to the switch and log in as admin. 2. System monitoring using the sysMonitor command
The
sysMonitor
command enables you to manage your system’s memory or CPU usage. To execute
this command, you must have chassis-level permission in a virtual fabric (VF) environment.
System monitoring is disabled by default. You must run both the
--config -mem
and the
--config -cpu
commands to enable both memory and CPU system monitoring.
Configuring system monitoring
1.
Connect to the switch and log in as admin.
2.
Enter the
sysMonitor
command to display the list of operands.
The
sysMonitor
menu displays.
switch:admin > sysMonitor
sysMonitor --config <mem | cpu>
[-poll <pollingInterval>]
[-retry <noOfRetries>]
[-limit <high usage limit>]
