Paper feeding and ejecting mechanism If the paper feed motor rotates counterclockwise, the rotational torque is transmitted via the gear train to the feed gear that rotates clockwise to feed paper. The torque is further transmitted via the middle gears to the exit gear. After the paper passes through the print head, it will be ejected onto the paper tray. The rotational torque is transmitted also to the friction gear (2) which is engaged with the teeth of the supply gear, so the supply gear rotates and comes back to the initial position.
