• VLAN ID - Attaches the interface to a user-defined VLAN ID. The VLAN ID is defined on the Create a New VLAN page. Protocol ports can either be attached to a VLAN ID or a VLAN name. The possible values are 1-4095. VLAN 4095 is the discard VLAN. • Remove - Indicates whether to remove the selected interface from its protocol group. - Checked - Removes the selected interface. - Unchecked - Maintains the selected interface. Adding a New Protocol Port to a VLAN Protocol ports can be defined only on ports that are defined as General in the VLAN Port Settings page. 1 Open the Protocol Port page. 2 Click Add. The Assign Protocol Port To VLAN page opens. Figure 7-58. Assign Protocol Port To VLAN 3 Complete the fields in the dialog. 4 Click Apply Changes.
