128 | Solving Problems Message Explanation Response MAINTENANCE CARTRIDGE NEARLY FULL The maintenance cartridge is almost full. You need to replace the maintenance cartridge soon with a new one. See "Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge" on page 114. REPLACE THE CARTRIDGE MAINTENANCE COVER OPEN The maintenance cartridge Close the maintenance cartridge cover cover is open. CLOSE THE MAINTENANCE COVER MAINTENANCE REQUEST NNNN A part used in the printer has nearly reached the end of its life. "NNNN" shows the product code for the part. Note the code and contact Epson. See "Where To Get Help" on page 12. MAINTENANCE PLEASE USE GENUINE EPSON CARTRIDGES A non-genuine maintenance cartridge is installed. Replace the maintenance cartridge with a genuine Epson maintenance cartridge. See "Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge" on page 114. MAINTENANCE NON-GENUINE MAINTENANCE CARTRIDGE INSTALLED A non-genuine maintenance cartridge is installed. Select NO (press the Menu r button) if you want to replace the ink cartridge with a genuine Epson ink cartridge. See "Replacing Ink Cartridges" on page 105. Otherwise, select YES (press the l button). d MAINTENANCE CAPACITY TO ABSORB INK MAY VARY. CONTINUE? NO INK CARTRIDGE INSTALL INK CARTRIDGE An ink cartridge is not installed.
