Using Windows 98 Installing Retail Windows 98 Second Edition To configure recommended Windows 98 Power Management You may want to change the default power management settings in Windows 98. To configure the power management do the following: 1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, then double-click the Power Management icon. 2. Select the Hibernate tab. 3. Check "Enable hibernate support" then click Apply. 4. Select the Power Schemes tab. 5. Change the "Plugged in" options for Standby to "After 3 hours". 6. Select the Advanced tab. 7. Change the Power buttons options to your desired settings. Notice that the only way to hibernate the XE3 is to configure one of the power buttons to perform this function. 8. Select the Alarms tab and change the power level for Critical Battery Alarm to 5%. 9. Click the "Alarm Action" button in the "Critical battery alarm" box. 10. To configure recommended Windows 98 Power Management
You may want to change the default power management settings in Windows 98. To
configure the power management do the following:
1.
Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, then double-click the Power Management icon.

Select the Hibernate tab.
3.
Check “Enable hibernate support” then click Apply.
4.
Select the Power Schemes tab.
5.
