4025-Finisher Service Checks Flowchart How to Use the Service Checks Flowchart • Follow your problem to the individual Primary Service Check that corresponds to your error code, printer operation problem, or print image problem. • Follow the instructions presented in the Service Check. • Voltage and resistance values presented in the Service Checks are an approximation. Actual readings may vary from the stated values. • Primary Service Checks may direct you to a Secondary Service Check. How to Follow a Service Check (See the sample service check step below). 1. Each numbered step in a service check instructs you to perform a certain action or procedure. 2. The Actions and Questions box may contain additional information and numbered procedure steps you must follow to perform the action. 3. The action is followed by a question. 4. If your response to the question is Yes, then follow the instructions for a Yes reply. 5. If your response to the question is No, then follow the instructions for a No reply. 6. Service Checks may ask you to take voltage readings at certain test points within the printer. 7. Service Checks may ask you to run a specific diagnostic routine in order to test a FRU or circuit. 8. Service Checks often ask you to replace a printer FRU. Removal and Replacement Procedures provide you detailed steps for removing and replacing major parts of the printer.
