CHAPTER 2 USER SOFTWARE This chapter explains the User Software, which includes the LAN card setup tools, integrated utilities, and manual. You can use the User Software in a Windows environment. • You cannot use the User Software in a UNIX, Linux, or NetWare environment. Caution • The User Software does not support MacOS environments. • You can use User Software in an Internet Explorer 4.0 (SP2) or higher browser environment. USING THE USER SOFTWARE IN A WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT Insert the User Software CD-ROM supplied with the printer into your computer•fs CD-ROM drive. After agreeing the license agreement, the main menu will automatically start up. • If the main menu does not automatically start up, directly execute setup.exe from the root Caution directory of the CD-ROM. • If the operating system is Windows Vista/7/Server 2008/2008 R2, the AutoPlay window appears. Select Run setup.exe. Network Software Select this menu item to install the LAN card setup tools (Quick Setup or AdminManager) and the integrated client software (PR-PortManager). You can use the User Software in a Windows environment.
Caution
•
You cannot use the User Software in a UNIX, Linux, or NetWare environment.
•
The User Software does not support MacOS environments.
•
You can use User Software in an Internet Explorer 4.0 (SP2) or higher browser
environment.
USING THE USER SOFTWARE IN A WINDOWS
ENVIRONMENT
Insert the User Software CD-ROM supplied with the printer into your computer•fs CD-ROM drive.
After agreeing the license agreement, the main menu will automatically start up.
Caution
•
If the main menu does not automatically start up, directly execute setup.exe from the root
directory of the CD-ROM.

If the operating system is Windows Vista/7/Server 2008/2008 R2, the AutoPlay window
appears. Select Run setup.exe.
Network Software
Select this menu item to install the LAN card setup tools (Quick Setup or AdminManager) and the
integrated client software (PR-PortManager).
