E-mail sending (SMTP) Configure the LAN card to ensure that the LAN card will notify you of the printer's offline status or paper-out condition. Offline Paper Empty Fault Description Factory default Specify whether to ENABLE or DISABLE the SMTP protocol. Setting this parameter to DISABLE makes the e-mail sending function unavailable. Specify the host name of the SMTP server. The host name must be the domain name or IP address. If the domain name is to be used, DNS server configuration is required. (Use up to 78 one-byte characters.) Specify the SMTP port number. Normally, use the default value (25). Specify the sender's address, which is usually the network administrator's mail address. (Use up to 78 one-byte characters.) DISABLE None 25 None Enter the character string to be added at the end of each mail message to be sent. (Use up to 63 one-byte characters.) Specify the conditions for the mailing address (1-2). Specify the recipient's address. (Use up to 78 one-byte characters.) The LAN card checks for any event record at certain intervals (in minutes). If more than one event occurred during an interval, information on the events is sent at one time. Mail is sent when the printer goes offline. Mail is sent when the printer runs out of paper.
