SMTP configuration Configure the LAN card to ensure that the LAN card reports when the printer goes offline or runs out of paper. 4-18 Item Description Factory default Use SMTP Protocol SMTP Server Name From Address To Address (1-2) Specify whether to ENABLE or DISABLE the SMTP protocol. Setting this item to DISABLE makes the e-mail sending function unavailable. Specify the host name of the SMTP server. The host name must be the domain name or IP address. If the domain name is to be used, the DNS server configuration is required. (Use up to 78 characters.) Specify the sender's address, which is usually the network administrator's mail address. (Use up to 78 characters.) Specify the recipient's address. (Use up to 78 characters.) DISABLE None None None Transmittion Condition (1-2) Item Description Factory default Events Offline Paper Empty Printer Error Check Interval Mail is sent when the printer goes offline. OFF Mail is sent when the printer runs out of paper. OFF Mail is sent when the printer encounters an abnormality. OFF The LAN card checks for any event record at certain 10 intervals (in minutes). If more than one event occurred during an interval, information on the events is sent at one time. Advanced Setup Item SMTP Port Number Signature Description Specify the SMTP port number. Normally, use the default value (25). Enter the character string to be added at the end of each mail message to be sent. (Use up to 63 one-byte characters.) Factory default 25 PR-LN1 00:80:92:XX:XX:XX (Product name and the low-order 6 digits of the Ethernet address)
