CONFIGURATION USING A WEB BROWSER Since this LAN card includes the HTTP protocol, you can use a Web browser when making detailed LAN card configuration settings or changing the existing configuration. You can also make use of convenient functions, such as those for remote restart, self-diagnostic printing, and printer status monitoring. Caution • Before you can use a Web browser, the LAN card must support the TCP/IP protocol and be assigned an IP address. • As the Web browser, you should use Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. The displays may slightly vary depending on the Web browser in use. • The displays on the Web browser vary with the LAN card model. • If you change the existing configuration via the Web browser, be sure to restart the print server. 4-21
