To delete a parameter of a virtual link, use the no area area-id virtual-link router-id [[authentication-key [encryption-type] key] | [message-digest-key keyid md5 [encryption-type] key]] [deadinterval seconds] [hello-interval seconds] [retransmit-interval seconds] [transmit-delay seconds] command syntax. Parameters area-id router-id authenticationkey [encryptiontype] key | message-digestkey keyid md5 [encryption-type] key Specify the OSPF area in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D.) or enter a number from zero (0) to 65535. Specify an ID (IP address in dotted decimal format) associated with a virtual link neighbor. (OPTIONAL) Choose between two authentication methods: • Enter the keywords authentication-key to enable simple authentication followed by an alphanumeric string up to eight characters long. Optionally, for the encryptiontype variable, enter the number seven before entering the key string to indicate that an encrypted password will follow. • Enter the keywords message-digest-key followed by a number from 1 to 255 as the keyid.
