Introduced for the S4810. Check the currently configured AutoConfiguration mode (BMP or Normal reload) on a switch running BMP 3.0 using the show reload-type command. The show bootvar or show system brief commands can also be used to display the current reload mode for BMP 3.0. The commands include the path of the FTOS image file retrieved from a DHCP server. FTOS#show reload-type Reload-Type : normal-reload [Next boot : normal-reload] reload type - Configure the reload mode as Normal or BMP. stop bmp Stop the switch from reloading in BMP mode to prevent an infinite loop. Replaces the stop jumpstart command. Usage Information Related Commands Use the stop bmp command on a switch running BMP 3.0 if the switch enters a loop while reloading in BMP mode. The loop occurs when the switch is continuously trying to contact a DHCP server and a DHCP server is not found. The stop bmp command stops the switch from connecting to the DHCP server. After you use the stop bmp command, the next default reload type is a normal reload as indicated in the show reload-type or show system brief command. reload type - Configures the reload mode as normal or BMP. 568
