Paper Jam Problems 2. If the paper is caught under the roller, first turn the roller in the direction indicated by the small arrow in the illustration below to free the paper from the roller. Then pull the paper out from under the roller until the page is completely free of the roller. If the paper tears, make sure you remove any pieces remaining in the printer. Troubleshooting 7-17
