(Fasten the connector screws to the interface, if required.) This completes the connection of the serial interface cable. Before you can use the printer, you need to set it up for serial communication using the SelecType CH CONFIG option in Level 2. You may also need to change some interface settings, such as baud rate and parity, before your printer and computer can communicate properly.
