Document scanner pickup roller The document scanner pickup roller can be removed and replaced without removing any other parts. 1 Open the document release door. 2 Use the small flatblade screwdriver to pry the right end of the pickup roller shaft from its plastic mounting. Figure 33. Document scanner pickup roller removal Note 3 Lift the right end of the pickup roller shaft out of its mounting; the left end should follow easily. Once the pickup roller shaft has been removed, parts can easily fall off of the shaft. Upon reinstallation, make sure that all of the parts have been replaced on the shaft in the correct order.
