Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Replacing Modules CAUTION! To maintain proper cooling within the disk array, a failed fan module must remain in the fan slot until a replacement fan module can be installed. A missing fan module will cause a "power off pending" error, since eventually the loss of cooling air could cause the disk modules to overheat.
