Theme Lets you select the colors used to show menus and screens in the Main display. 1. In standby mode, press the MENU key ( OK ), then press (for wxyz Settings), abc (for Display), and def for Theme. The following options appear in the display: • Pattern 1 • Pattern 2 • Pattern 3 2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the desired color theme, then press the OK key to save the selected theme setting. Banner Create your own personalized greeting that appears in the display while your phone is in standby mode. 1. In standby mode, press the MENU key ( OK ), then press (for wxyz Settings), abc (for Display), and ghi for Banner. The Banner screen appears in the display with the Enter Text field highlighted. 2. Enter a word or short phrase to appear in your phone's display while in standby mode (Up to 13 characters). See See "Entering Text" on page 43 for more information. Tip: Press and hold CLR to erase an existing banner, if necessary. Press the OK key to save your changes. Backlight You can set the backlight for your display or keypad to remain on for a specified period of time or remain on as long as the flip is open. Note: Prolonged backlight use drains your battery faster. 1. In standby mode, press the MENU key ( OK ), then press (for wxyz Settings), abc (for Display), and jkl for Backlight. The following sub-menus appear in the display: • Main LCD - Sets the time the internal display backlight remains on after a period of inactivity. Optional settings are: 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, and Flip Open. 118
