2. Use the navigation keys to select the method you want to use to find an entry. The following find methods appear in the display: • By Name - Search Contacts alphabetically by name. • By Entry - Search Contacts numerically by entry number. • By Group - Search Contacts by selecting one of the five available groups. • By Number - Search Contacts by numerically by phone number. Find by Name 1. In standby mode, press the MENU key ( OK ), then press def (for Contacts) and @ for Find. The Find screen appears in the display with By Name showing. Tip: You can access the Find screen directly from standby mode by pressing the Contacts (right) soft key ( ). 2. Enter a name as entered in Contacts. For example, if you saved the name as "Amy Smith", begin the search by pressing abc (for "A"). As you enter letters, the entry number and names of the closest matches appear in the display. 3. When the desired entry appears in the display, use the navigation keys to highlight the entry (if necessary). 4. Press SEND to dial the number associated with the name. 5. Press the OK key to view information about the entry. 6. Press the Option (left) soft key ( ). The following options appear in the display: • Edit - Edit details of the highlighted name. • Erase - Erase the name and associated information. • Add New - Add a new entry to Contacts. • Send Text Msg - Send a text message to the selected Contact. • Send Pic Msg - Send a picture message to the selected Contact. 7. Use the navigation keys to highlight an option, then press the OK key. The highlighted option's sub menu appears in the display. Find by Entry This option allows you to find a stored entry by its location number. 1. In standby mode, press the MENU key ( OK ), then press def (for Contacts) and @ for Find. The Find screen appears in the display with By Name showing. 52
