Selecting The Exposure

BASIC OPERATIONS SELECTING THE EXPOSURE The initial exposure setting is AUTO. To change the setting, follow these steps: Changing the exposure 1 Touch the [EXPOSURE] key. AUTO EXPOSURE STANDARD RESOLUTION AUTO 8½x11R ORIGINAL 2 Touch the [AUTO MANUAL] key. "MANUAL" is highlighted. AUTO MANUAL 1 3 5 3 Touch the key or the key to select the desired exposure level. The exposure can be set AUTO MANUAL to 5 levels. For a darker image, touch the key. For a lighter image 1 3 5 touch the key. 4 Touch the [OK] key. O MANUAL 3·5 You will return to the OK initial screen. The selected exposure will appear in the top half of the [EXPOSURE] key. Note • When using the document glass to scan a multi-page original, the original size, resolution, and exposure settings can be changed each time you change pages. When using the RSPF, the exposure setting cannot be changed once scanning has begun. • The default exposure setting is AUTO. SELECTING THE EXPOSURE
The initial exposure setting is AUTO. To change the setting, follow these steps:

Touch the [EXPOSURE] key.

MANUAL] key.
"MANUAL" is highlighted.

Touch the
key or the

select the desired exposure level.
The exposure can be set
to 5 levels. For a darker
image, touch the
key. For a lighter image
touch the
key.

Touch the [OK] key.
You will return to the
initial screen.
The selected exposure
will appear in the top half
of the [EXPOSURE] key.
