PROGRAMMING STORING RAPID DIAL KEYS To store a rapid key, follow steps 1 to 4 on pages 65 to 66 (touch the [RAPID] key in step 4), and then follow the steps below. 1 Touch the [NAME] key. 5 Touch the [INDEX] key. DIRECT ADDRESS / RAPID The "No." that automatically appears is the lowest number from NAME 001 to 500 that has not INDEX F yet been programmed. When the key is touched, KEY NAME the letter-entry screen appears. Enter up to 36 characters for the name. Refer to page 80 for the procedure for entering letters. 2 Touch the [INITIAL] key. INITIAL NAME INDEX KEY NAME SHARP CORPORATION FAX 69 6 Touch the desired index key. DIRECT ADDRESS / RAPID NEXT INDEX SELECT THE CUSTOM INDEX WHERE YOU REGISTER THIS ADDRESS. USER 1 USER 2 USER 3 USER 4 USER 5 DO YOU REGISTER THIS ADDRESS AT THE [FREQUENT USE], TOO? YES NO EXIT OK USER 6 MODE 3 Touch the desired letter key. INITIAL If the name entered in S step 1 is in alphabetical letters, the first letter will be highlighted. The selected letter key is highlighted. If you select SPACE the wrong key, touch the correct key. Note The initial you enter here determines the position of the rapid key in the ABC index. For information on the ABC index, see page 8. 4 Touch the [OK] key. • Select one of the upper row of keys (USER 1 through USER 6) to determine the location of the rapid key when the GROUP index is displayed instead of the ABC index (p.78). • The lower keys are for selecting whether or not to include the rapid key in the [FREQUENT USE] index. • If you touch the wrong key, simply touch the correct key. 7 Touch the [OK] key. 6 8 Touch the [FAX No.] key.
