Chapter 8 Optional Devices Optional devices can expand the computer's capabilities and its versatility. This chapter describes connection or installation of the following types of devices: Cards/memory PC Cards Memory modules Power devices Additional battery pack Battery charger Peripheral devices Card Station IV Card Station III with Spacer Port Replicator Parallel printer External monitor PS/2 mouse PS/2 keyboard Security lock PC Cards The computer is equipped with a PC Card expansion slot that can accommodate two 5 mm Type II cards or one 10.5 mm Type III card. Any PC Card that meets industry standards (manufactured by Toshiba or other vendor) can be installed. The slots support 16-bit PC Cards, including PC Card 16's multifunction card and CardBus PC Cards. CardBus supports the new standard of 32-bit PC Cards.
