Default Setting None Command Mode Any Example This example shows how to return to the Exec mode from the Interface Configuration mode, and then quit the CLI session: Enterprise AP(if-ethernet)#exit Enterprise AP#exit CLI session with the Access Point is now closed Username: ping This command sends ICMP echo request packets to another node on the network. Syntax ping • host_name - Alias of the host. • ip_address - IP address of the host. Default Setting None Command Mode Exec Command Usage • Use the ping command to see if another site on the network can be reached. • The following are some results of the ping command: - Normal response - The normal response occurs in one to ten seconds, depending on network traffic. - Destination does not respond - If the host does not respond, a "timeout" appears in ten seconds. 5-10
