Using the Command Line Interface speed-duplex This command configures the speed and duplex mode of a given interface when autonegotiation is disabled. Use the no form to restore the default. Syntax speed-duplex • auto - autonegotiate speed and duplex mode • 10MH - Forces 10 Mbps, half-duplex operation • 10MF - Forces 10 Mbps, full-duplex operation • 100MH - Forces 100 Mbps, half-duplex operation • 100MF - Forces 100 Mbps, full-duplex operation Default Setting Auto-negotiation is enabled by default. Command Mode Interface Configuration (Ethernet) Command Usage If autonegotiation is disabled, the speed and duplex mode must be configured to match the setting of the attached device. Example The following example configures the Ethernet port to 100 Mbps, full-duplex operation. Enterprise AP(if-ethernet)#speed-duplex 100mf Enterprise AP(if-ethernet)# shutdown This command disables the Ethernet interface. To restart a disabled interface, use the no form.
