Use the no form to disable data encryption. Syntax [no] encryption Default Setting disabled Command Mode Interface Configuration (Wireless-VAP) Command Usage • Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) is implemented in this device to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network. For more secure data transmissions, enable encryption with this command, and set at least one static WEP key with the key command. • The WEP settings must be the same on each client in your wireless network. • Note that WEP protects data transmitted between wireless nodes, but does not protect any transmissions over your wired network or over the Internet. • You must enable data encryption in order to enable all types of encryption (WEP, TKIP, and AES-CCMP) in the access point. 5-133
