Using the Command Line Interface snmp-server enable server This command enables SNMP management access and also enables this device to send SNMP traps (i.e., notifications). Use the no form to disable SNMP service and trap messages. Syntax snmp-server enable server no snmp-server enable server Default Setting Enabled Command Mode Global Configuration Command Usage • This command enables both authentication failure notifications and link-up-down notifications. • The snmp-server host command specifies the host device that will receive SNMP notifications. Example Enterprise AP(config)#snmp-server enable server Enterprise AP(config)# Related Commands snmp-server host (5-47) snmp-server host This command specifies the recipient of an SNMP notification. Use the no form to remove the specified host.
