You can then use the procedure in section 6.2.6 to restore the configuration if necessary, without having to re-enter the settings from scratch. Saving the current configuration also allows you to propagate the configuration to other xStack Storage systems that will use the same settings. When you save the current configuration, the following settings are saved in a configuration file:  Management port IP address  All targets  All the initiators that have access to the targets, including their access rights and CHAP secrets  All volumes and access parameters  User account information  Battery policy  Advanced system settings (including e-mail, iSNS and SNMP parameters) To save the current configuration: 1. Saving the Current Configuration (Control Tab)
Best practices dictate that you save the xStack Storage configuration after you configure the
array for the first time and, thereafter, each time you change the configuration. You can
then use the procedure in section 6.2.6 to restore the configuration if necessary, without
having to re-enter the settings from scratch. Saving the current configuration also allows you
to propagate the configuration to other xStack Storage systems that will use the same
settings.
When you save the current configuration, the following settings are saved in a configuration
file:
Management port IP address
All targets
All the initiators that have access to the targets, including their access rights and CHAP
secrets
All volumes and access parameters
User account information
Battery policy
Advanced system settings (including e-mail, iSNS and SNMP parameters)
To save the current configuration:
