For the best font and graphics control, always use ESC/P 2 mode. If you need to emulate an IBM® Proprinter,™ select IBM XL24E mode. For a list of the commands for these modes, see page 5-17. Off, On In IBM XL24E mode, lets you select whether the printer performs a carriage-return line-feed operation when it reaches the right margin (On) or only when it receives a carriage-return code in the print job (Off). Off, On In IBM XL24E mode, turns high resolution, 24-pin graphics command mode on or off. - See the samples beginning on page 5-8.
