Configuration and Image File Commands Backing up the Running or Startup Configuration to a Backup Configuration File To copy the running configuration file to a backup configuration file, enter the copy running-config file command. To copy the startup configuration file to a backup configuration file, enter the copy startup-config file command. Before copying from the backup configuration file to the running configuration file, make sure that the backup configuration file has not been corrupted. Example The following command copies system image file1 from the TFTP server 172.16.101.101 to a non-active image file. Console# copy tftp://172.16.101.101/file1 image Accessing file 'file1' on 172.16.101.101...
