QoS Commands policy-map The policy-map Global Configuration mode command creates a policy map and enters the Policy-map Configuration mode. To delete a policy map, use the no form of this command. Syntax policy-map policy-map-name no policy-map policy-map-name Parameters n policy-map-name - Specifies the name of the policy map. Default Setting If the packet is an IP packet, the DCSP value of the policy map is 0. If the packet is tagged, the CoS value is 0. Command Mode Global Configuration mode Command Usage Before configuring policies for classes whose match criteria are defined in a class map, use the policy-map Global Configuration mode command to specify the name of the policy map to be created or modified. Class policies in a policy map can only be defined if match criteria has already been defined for the classes. Use the class-map Global Configuration and match Class-map Configuration commands to define the match criteria of a class. Only one policy map per interface per direction is supported. A policy map can be applied to multiple interfaces and directions. Example The following command creates a policy map called policy1 and enters the Policy-map Configuration mode.
