Scanned text is not clear. Cause Solution The lighter/darker and resolution settings need to be adjusted Check that the settings are correct in the software program that before scanning. is being used to scan the document. See the online user guide section for more information. The original is on colored paper. If the original is on colored paper, including brown recycled paper, the text might not be clear. Try adjusting the resolution, contrast, and brightness settings in the scanning program. There is a problem with the scanner assembly. Replace the scanner assembly.
