2 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS ■ Power supply connections When operating the transceiver with AC power, use a power supply with 13.8 V DC output and a capacity of at least 24 Amperes. Refer to the diagrams below. CAUTION: Before connecting the DC power cable, check the following important items. Make sure: • The [POWER] switch is OFF. • Output voltage of the power source is 12 to 15 V when you use a non-Icom power supply. • DC power cable polarity is correct. Red : Positive + terminal Black : Negative _ terminal ■ Connecting a DC power supply D Connecting the PS-126 DC POWER SUPPLY AC outlet PS-126 To disconnect q w To [DC 13.8V] AC cable DC power cable Ground Transceiver D Connecting a non-Icom DC POWER SUPPLY Transceiver For European versions Transceiver AC outlet Ground A DC power supply 13.8 V; at least 24 A +_ To [DC 13.8V] To disconnect q w To [GND] AC cable Red Black Supplied DC power cable 27 To [DC 13.8V] Ferrite bead Connect to power supply When you install the ferrite bead, make sure the cables at the top of the loop are parallel to each other.
