Modifying the general settings for navigation functions Chapter 11 Changing the virtual speed of the vehicle When calculating the expected time of arrival and the number of hours to the destination, set the average speed for the freeway or ordinary roads using [+] and [-]. 1 Display the "Region" screen. 2 Touch [Speed]. The "Average Speed Settings" screen appears. ! [AZERTY]: ! The settings are completed. Setting the keyboard layout You can select the type of keyboard to be used for inputting characters. 1 Display the "Region" screen. 2 Touch [Keyboard]. Each time you touch the key changes that setting. ! [QWERTY] (default): ! [QWERTZ]: Replicating the settings You can import settings you have made on the utility program "AVIC FEEDS" which is available separately to the navigation system. 1 Insert an SD memory card into the SD card slot. = For more details of the operation, refer to Inserting and ejecting an SD memory card on page 11. 2 Display the "Navigation Menu" screen. 3 Touch [Cpy Setting]. A message confirming whether to update the settings appears. 4 Touch [Yes]. Update starts. After updating the settings is finished, a message confirming whether to restart the navigation system appears. 5 Touch [OK]. The navigation system restarts. En 61
