3.10 ASYNC Test 3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.10 ASYNC Test To execute the ASYNC Test, select 7-ASYNC TEST from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter, and follow the directions on the screen. The ASYNC Test contains two subtests that test the ASYNC functions. Move the highlight bar to the subtest you want to execute and press Enter. The following shows the subtest 06 format. System Asynchronous Speed: 9600BPS Data: Eight data bits and one parity bit (Even parity) Data pattern From 20h to 7Eh Subtest 06 FIR/SIR Point to Point (send) CAUTION: This test needs to access to the other computer infrared port from the computer. Send from 20h to 7Eh data to the other by using FIR/SIR port and compare original data with data received from the other computer. Subtest 07 FIR/SIR Point to Point (receive) This subtest is used with subtest 06 described above.
