3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.24 Floppy Disk Drive Utilities 3.24.2 Operations 1. Selecting 7-FDD UTILITIES from the DIAGNOSTIC MENU and pressing Enter displays the following message: [ FDD UTILITIES ] 1 - FORMAT 2 - COPY 3 - DUMP 4 - HDD-ID 9 - EXIT TO DIAGNOSTICS MENU 2. FORMAT program (a) When FORMAT program is loaded, the following message is displayed: DIAGNOSTICS - FLOPPY DISK FORMAT : V6.00 Drive number select (1:A, 2:B) ? (b) Select a drive number to display the following message: Type select (0:2DD, 3:2HD) ? (c) Select a media/drive type number and press Enter. The following message will be displayed: Warning : Disk data will be destroyed. Insert work disk into drive A: Press any key when ready. (d) Remove the Test program Disk from the FDD, insert the work disk and press any key.
