4.7 HDD 4.7 HDD 4 Replacement Procedures Removing the HDD The following describes the procedure for removing the HDD. (See Figure 4-7 to 4-8.) Caution: Take care not to press on the top or bottom of the HDD. Pressure may cause data loss or damage to the device. 1. Turn the computer upside down. 2. Loosen the screw with e-ring secur ing the HDD slot cover and remove the cover. 3. Hold the HDD holder tab and pull the HDD assembly to the arrow direction (1) in the figure below and remove the HDD a ssembly. Removing the HDD
The following describes the procedure for removing the HDD. (See Figure 4-7 to 4-8.)
Caution:
Take care not to press on the top or bottom of the HDD. Pressure may cause
data loss or damage to the device.
1.
Turn the computer upside down.
2.
Loosen the screw with e-ring secur ing the HDD slot cover and remove the cover.
3.
Hold the HDD holder tab and pull the HDD assembly to the arrow direction (1) in
the figure below and remove the HDD a ssembly.
