3.23 Running Test 3.23 Running Test 3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.23.1 Function Description This function automatically executes the following tests in sequence: 1. System test (subtest 01) 2. Memory test (subtests 01, 02, 04, 06) 3. Real timer test (subtest 02) 4. Display test (subtest 01) 5. FDD test (subtest 02) 6. HDD test (subtests 01, 05) The system automatically detects the number of floppy disk drives connected to the computer for the FDD test. 3.23.2 Operations Caution: Do not forget to remove the diagnostics disk and load a formatted work disk in the FDD. If a work disk is not loaded, an error will be generated during the FDD testing. 1. Remove the diagnostics disk from the floppy disk drive and insert the formatted work disk. 2. Select 6-RUNNING TEST from the DIAGNOSTIC MENU and press Enter. The following message is displayed. Printer wrap around test (Y/N) ? Select Y (yes) to execute the Printer wraparound test or N (NO) not to execute, then press Enter. A printer wraparound connector must be connected to the parallel port of the computer to execute properly this test. 3. When the selecting of the Printer wraparound test is completed, the following message is displayed. Serial #A wrap around test (Y/N) ? Select Y (yes) to execute the Serial #A test or N (NO) not to execute, then press Enter.
