4 Replacement Procedures 4.5 Touch pad 4.5 Touch pad Removing the touch pad The following describes the procedure for removing the touch pad. (See Figure 4-5.) 1. Disconnect the flat cable from the connector on the system board. 2. Pull the touch pad holder slantwise from the computer. 3. Remove the following screws securing the touch pad. • M2.5×3B S-THIN screw x2 4. Remove the touch pad from the computer. 5. Disconnect the flat cable from the touch pad. Connect the flat cable to the touch pad. 2. Install the touch pad on the computer. 3. Secure the touch pad with the following screws. • M2.5×3B S-THIN screw x2 4.
