4.10 MDC modem 4.10 MDC modem 4 Replacement Procedures Removing the MDC modem The following describes the procedure for removing an MDC modem. (See Figure 4-14.) Caution: The power must be turned off when you remove the MDC modem. Removing an MDC modem with the power on risks damaging the modem or the computer itself. 1. Remove the following screws securing the MDC modem. • M2×4Z BIND screw x2 2. Remove the MDC modem from the connector on the system board. 3. Disconnect the cable from the MDC modem. 4. After peeling off the glass tape, turn up the insulator and disconnect the MDC modem cable from the connector on the system board.
