System-board switches and jumpers The following illustration shows the switches and jumpers on the system board. Any switches or jumpers on the system board that are not shown in the illustration are reserved. See "Recovering the BIOS code" on page 18 for information about the boot block recovery jumper. Changing the position of this switch bypasses the power-on password check the next time the server is turned on and starts the Configuration/Setup Utility program so that you can change or delete the power-on password. You do not have to move the switch back to the default position after the password is overridden. 1 Off Changing the position of this switch does not affect the administrator password check if an administrator password is set. Power-on override. When toggled to On, this switch forces the power on, overriding the power-on button. Note: Before changing any switch settings or moving any jumpers, turn off the server; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables.
