Threading the Machine f • Threading the machine * Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by turning the handwheel counterclockwise. * Raise the presser foot lifter. * Place a spool on the spool pin, with the thread coming off as shown. [] Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide. [] While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of the thread down around the check spring holder. [] Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the take-up lever, and down into the take-up lever eye. [] Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left. [] Thread the needle from front to back, or use a needle threader. _\\\\ \ I [] • Needle threader _i_ Knob _2_Hook _3_Guide _4_Thread end [1!]Raise the needle to its highest position. Push down the needle threader knob _i_ as far as it will go. The hook comes out through the needle eye from [] behind. [2] Paying close attention to the needle point, draw the thread around the guide _3_and under the hook _2_. [13]Release the knob slowly while holding the thread end _4_ with your hand. A loop of the thread is pulled up through the needle eye. [] NOTE: The needle threader can be used with a # 11 to # 16 needle, or a # 11 Blue needle. Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide.

While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring
holder.

Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up
lever, and down into the take-up lever eye.

Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.

Thread the needle from front to back, or use a needle
threader.

with your hand. A loop of the thread is pulled up through
the needle eye.
NOTE:
The needle threader
can be used with a # 11 to # 16
needle, or a # 11 Blue needle.
Thread size 50 to 100 is recommended.
