Faxing 2. Press the Machine Status button on the control panel. 3. Select the Tools tab, select Service Settings, and then select Embedded Fax Settings. 4. Select Incoming Fax Defaults from the list. 5. Select Secure Receive. 6. Select one of the following options, and then press the Save button: • Enable: This option turns on the secure fax receive option if it is off. Follow the onscreen prompts to enter a numeric password. • Disable: This option turns off the secure fax receive option if it is on. Printing or Clearing Secure Faxes If the Secure Fax option is enabled, you must enter your numeric password to print or clear a received fax. To print or clear all secure faxes: 1. On the control panel, press the Job Status button. 2. Select Hold Secure Print Job. 3. Select Release to print, or Delete to clear pending faxes. You can view the faxes waiting to be sent. If needed, you can clear one or more faxes. To cancel documents from memory: 1. On the control panel, press the Job Status button. 2. Select Scan Jobs and Fax Sent Jobs. 3. Select the pending fax job from the list. 4. Select Delete. Enabling or Disabling Junk Fax Prevention Junk fax prevention allows you to turn off/on printing faxes received from phone numbers in the individual speed dial directory. To turn off/on the junk fax prevention option: 1. Log in as a system administrator. Press the Log In/Out button (user name: admin, default password: 1111). 2. Press the Machine Status button on the control panel. 3. Select the Tools tab, select Service Settings, and then select Embedded Fax Settings. 4. Select Incoming Fax Defaults from the list. 5. Select Junk Fax Prevention. 6. Select one of the following options, and then press the Save: • Disabled: This option turns off the junk fax prevention option if it is on.
