The Printer Pulls Multiple Sheets Together Troubleshooting Probable Causes The paper tray is too full. The front edges of the paper are not even. The media is moist from humidity. Too much static electricity is present. Solutions Remove some of the paper. Do not load paper past fill line. Remove the media, align the front edges, and then reload it. Remove the media from the tray, and replace it with new dry media. Try a new ream of paper. Do not fan transparencies. Paper Jam Message Stays On Probable Causes Some paper remains jammed in the printer. Solutions Recheck the media path and make sure that you have removed all of the jammed paper. For more information see Understanding the Media Path on page 198. Duplex Unit Jams Probable Causes Solutions Unsupported media (wrong size, thickness, type, etc.) is being used. Use only Xerox-approved media. For more information see Supported Media on page 41. Recheck the media path inside the duplex unit and make sure that you have removed all of the jammed paper. Make sure that you have not mixed media types in the tray. Do not duplex envelopes, labels, transparencies, heavyweight stock, or gloss stock.
